So we are off to Philly this weekend for a wedding and I thought I would post some wedding pins that are inspiring me for my upcoming wedding...fyi, upcoming as in July 2014 or Labor Day 2014.  We like to take is slow but hopefully I wont become a crazy lady thinking about wedding details for the next year!

Travel Tuesday - Villa Cetinale

 Happy travel Tuesday!  I have been a little MIA due to some travels of my own.  I have been on short trips to  Palm Springs, Arizona, Santa Barbara Atlanta and Nashville...all great places to visit but not quite as fab as Villa Cetinale in Italy. 

Per their website, Villa Cetinale is a 17th century villa in the Ancaiano district near Siena, Italy. Designed by the architect Carlo Fontana, in the Roman Baroque style, the villa was built in 1680 by Cardinal Flavio Chigi for Pope Alexander VII — Fabio Chigi.

Villa Cetinale is available for private rental!  I would love to spend a week here!  Go to their website here for more info.

Travel Tuesday - Lungarno Hotel in Florence

We met the nicest newlywed couple while we were in South Africa on Safari.  We received an email the other day asking for our recommendations on places to stay in Florence and now I can't stop thinking about Italy.  As you know, I am obsessed with where we stayed, Il Salviatino...but we also stopped in for a drink at Lungarno and fell in love.  The Lungarno in Florence is owned by the Ferragamos and it is everything you would expect of a hotel owned by the famous fashion family....

Amazing art and sketches hanging on every wall, pleated lamp shades and the classic combination of blue and white are all a common theme throughout the hotel. 

All the slipcovers on the furniture have the most amazing details and the navy fringe on the pillows makes my heart flutter.

I go crazy for slipcovers tied with bows and for linens and headboards with a thick border.

These rooms really sum up everything I love!  Silver, blue and white, dark wood, fringe pillows and pleated lamp shades and slipcovers tied with bows, ugh!  Love!
