The Los Angeles location of Fig and Olive opened in March and I finally had a chance to check it out last weekend. I was a little apprehensive about trying Fig and Olive after reading some not so great Yelp reviews for this place.
We were having an emergency at home and the night started off with me calling to push back our 7:00 reservation because there was no way we would make it on time. The host was so gracious and helpful and said they would try their hardest to fit us in at 7:30.
When we got there and checked in, they seated us right away...after pushing our reservation I thought there was no way we would be seated before 8pm. The place was on fire! Seriously, it is a hot spot!
When we walked in I was blown away by how beautiful and grand the space is. There is a 50 foot marble bar in the front where you can have small plates and cocktails.
We started off with an assortment of crostinis which were just OK to be honest. The bread with olive oil tasting was delicious and our entrees were outstanding. I ordered the burrata salad and the scallops and both were amazing. Other dishes had at our table were fish, fillet mignon and lamb. I think that the meat dishes were definitely the entrees that stood out the most. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. Our service was impeccable and I only have good things to say about this place.

You should at least pop in Fig and Olive for a drink, good people watching and to check out the decor.
