Happy Wednesday! I am having major technical difficulties and my computer is about to crash! I had this post saved for Friday...thank goodness...so I am using it for today. I am off to Seattle Wednesday and Thursday so I don't know when I will have time to get my computer fixed or time to get to a working computer so please enjoy this in the meantime!
Last Friday I featured one of Vogue's home profiles and I thought I would post another one this week.
This is the Tribeca apartment of fashion designer Erin Fetherston. The decor in her romantic loft was influenced by her years living in France.
When you walk off the elevator you enter right in the middle of the living room...
I love the dining room table and the Louis XVII chairs!
These chairs are interesting, they look like a mix of bergere and wing back chairs.

You can read the whole article and see more of the apartment at Vogue.com.
After I posted this entryway the other day, I got some requests to search for lucite console tables under $2,000. I know that sounds like a lot but lucite is actually very expensive! Not to worry though, always looking for a deal, I found some options from $349 and up!
It was love at first sight the first time I walked up to Mecox and noticed that they have the same boxwood plants and planters that I have!
Mecox Gardens is a fabulous home store with 8 locations across the country. I love Mecox because they have a great mix of furniture and accessories in all different price ranges and different styles. There is really something for everyone.
On my most recent trip to Mecox in Los Angeles, the store was jam packed with all sorts of good finds!
They always have the best vignettes set up around the store! The amount of Christopher Spitzmiller lamps incorporated into the vignettes and placed around the store right now, were enough to send me over the edge!
Some of my favorite things I found were these bamboo benches...
Sweet Butter is a Cafe in Sherman Oaks. They are located next to InvenTORI which I blogged about the other day.
You walk through this gated entryway to get to the front door. I think this covered patio is so cute!
Seating area outside the front of the restaurant.
Inside they turned silver trays into blackboards with the days specials. Such a great idea!
You place your order inside and then find a table in one of the outdoor seating areas, where they will bring your order to you. While you are waiting there are plenty of great gifts, books and accessories to peruse.
Overall, I had a great experience at Sweet Butter. I took a chopped salad to go and they were accommodating and let me substitute chicken for the salami. My salad was fresh and the chicken was really good. I think it would be a great spot to get a morning coffee and/or breakfast. Also, a great place to run into if you need a quick gift.
I drive home from work down Ventura Blvd everyday from the Valley over to my neck of the woods, which is in between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. While driving home one day, on the Valley side in Sherman Oaks, I looked over and saw the cutest new store. I was curious about the name being Inventori and not Inventory so I went home and googled it. To my pleasant surprise, the "tori" in Inventori is for Tori Spelling! How fun! I didn't know she decided to open a home/gift/lifestyle store!
It took me a couple of months but I finally stopped by after work on Wednesday night. There is a cute little courtyard that you walk through to enter the store.
The left side is full of cute baby gifts, bath products and candles with antique furniture interspersed.
I bought this Lafco Chamomile Lavender Candle and it smells fabulous. I had never heard of this brand. The candles are all named after different rooms in the house. Chamomile Lavender is Master Bedroom.
Love this vignette with vintage doors and the white marble dresser.
On the right side of the store there are more vintage and antique furniture finds and the style is a little more masculine.
REALLY cute pet gifts and accessories!
Gift wrapping station. It is $3.50 to have your gift wrapped. Not a bad price for this lovely selection of paper and ribbons!
This porcelain polka dot tray somehow made it into my bag as well. Love it!
They are working on a website but you can go check it out in person at this address...13826 Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. Looks like Tori is living out Donna Martin's dream in real life. Remember her store in 90210, "Now Wear This"? I had to!
I live in Los Angeles by way of Atlanta, GA. I love design, food, hotels and all things pretty! I blog about things I love, my favorite places in Los Angeles and the never ending process of decorating a home.
