My boyfriend's father is a custom furniture manufacturer in New York. Sometimes he sends us furniture that a Designer had him make and then they don't want it for whatever reason. Most of the time they are pretty eccentric pieces that we wouldn't normally purchase....like this bench with horse hooves covered in white hair hide.
We had a good chuckle when we first received this piece but I must admit he is growing on me! See, I even refer to the bench as "he".
The detail really does make the legs look real.
And the bottom of the hoof is painted silver which is fun.
So, I have been on the fence for awhile trying to decide whether I still think it is hilarious or if I am really starting to like this guy(bench)....then I open the recent issue of Veranda and see a picture of this bench...
It is almost the same bench! Myra Hoefer designed this bench and sells it on her website. Her tear sheet says they are goat legs and the bench is $1,800! Myra Hoefer Design has a showroom in Healdsburg, CA. One of my favorite places to visit. You can read a post on Healdsburg here.
Here are some pieces from Oly and Mecox if you are into furniture with animal legs...
So furniture with animal legs...yea or neigh?

The gorgeous entrance.
Once through the gates you truly feel transported.
Chandeliers and lanterns hang from the canopy of olive trees.
There were fountains everywhere....drowning out the traffic on Beverly Blvd!
Love the two tables together and two chandeliers. I wish that would fit in my backyard!
Sitting area. I think the wingback chairs are new...
The gates and dog statues were a couple of my favorite things!
Love this gate with round handle. Definitely going in dream house stash!

I was so excited to see that the new Restoration Hardware finally opened on Beverly Blvd. in LA!
They did a phenomenal job...I was blown away. To be honest, sometimes I get over the all neutral look of Restoration Hardware but this showroom was AMAZING! Enjoy!

I have been in Irvine, CA yesterday and today taking a class on executive presentation skills.
Yep you heard that right...it's pretty much my worst nightmare come true.
I would much rather be stuffing my face with these S'mores Cupcakes. I think I will have to try and make these this summer....get the recipe here.
Have a great weekend! Wish me luck!

My boyfriend sent me a link to this hotel when we were looking for places to stay on our trip to Italy this summer. I immediately fell in love with the pictures on their website and I am pretty sure that I had tears in my eyes when we decided to book a room at Il Salviatino.
Il Salviatino is a renovated 15th Century Villa that sits in the hills above Florence.
Love the room decor!

If you are not familiar with High Gloss Magazine, you must check it out. It is an online magazine with a mixture of interior design, fashion and all sorts of fabulous finds. They have posted a sneak peek of the upcoming issue on their facebook page .
This sneak peek room was done by my friend and Designer Emily Ruddo. She has an amazing sense of style and she is just the sweetest person! She has helped me with some of my own furniture.
Check out this amazing room! Love the fuchsia Quadrille fabric with turquoise accents!
The June/July issue of High Gloss Magazine should be out this week so check their site for the full feature on Emily Ruddo and this room.
Here are more lovely pictures of Emily's work from her website Armonia Decors.
Congratulations Emily! Can't wait to see you in High Gloss this month!
