Champagne Wishes

Wishing you a Happy New Year with lots of Champagne!

Hope you have a fabulous New Year!  I wont be lounging on a chair surrounded by champagne bottles or climbing a ladder to make the biggest champagne fountain you have ever seen.

I will be in Aspen though, so there could be some champagne in the snow...although it will not be as glam as the last picture!

There are good things to come for everyone in 2012!  I can feel it!

Copper in the Kitchen

I love copper and I have been seeing it all over lately.  When I think of copper in the kitchen I sometimes picture a country kitchen with a brick fireplace with copper pots and molds.

If country is not your thing...then these modern, french, classic and absolutely fabulous kitchens with copper accents should have something for everyone.

Love the black, marble and copper!

Copper pans mixed with stainless-steel.

Love the copper pots and pans hanging over this doorway.

And over this island.

Love this copper sink!

I love copper molds.  Hanging on the gray walls makes them fresh and stylish!

More copper pots over an island in a more modern kitchen.

I am in love is all I can say!

Love this green!  How cool are the shelves full of copper pots under the stove.

Of course Martha has a kitchen in her farmhouse that is full of copper!

Govino!

I hope everyone had a great holiday!  I am still recovering from traveling, eating and drinking.  After a week straight of drinking...I might as well continue the trend and talk about wine!

I received these plastic wine glasses by Govino from my cousin.  They are beautifully designed and made of food-safe, BPA-free polymer.  They are so thin, clear and elegant...you would never know they are plastic!  And if that isn't enough, they are re-usable and recyclable.

Govino glasses are perfect for picnics, pools, the beach, tailgating or anywhere you want to take wine on the go without sacrificing fabulous stemware.  We are going skiing for New Years and the flutes might come in handy to cheers on the slopes!

They are available online at Govino...or if you are in Charleston, SC stop into Heirloom Book Company to pick up a set!

Pom Pom Love

I could do an entire  post on pom pom ribbon, trim, etc but I will save that for another day.  Right now all I am thinking about is being wrapped in this cozy pom pom trimmed throw!
I am thinking about the beautiful white one but if you are craving some color this winter, they have plenty of cheery colors to choose from!

They are from Calypso and they are only $60.  That is not a typo!  Only $60 and from Calypso.

Merry Christmas to me!

Hanukkah Inspiration

Todays post is all about Hanukkah!  See below for tabletop ideas, sweets and gifts, and modern menorahs!

Hanukkah Tabletop Ideas

This table setting is from Pottery Barn.  I love their Hanukkah decor this year!

You know I love monograms!  These monogrammed star cookies used as place settings are so cute!
Go here for the recipe.

Pretty blue and white place setting from Better Homes & Gardens.

Love the gray and blue together!  This pic is from Pinterest but I could not find it again to link.  Sorry!

I love this table from Southern Accents.  The blue glassware is gorgeous!

Hanukkah Gifts and Sweets!

Fretzels by Jill are the most delicious gourmet chocolate-covered pretzels.  The above assortment wrapped with a bow is a great hostess gift.

Yum!  A whole box of Fretzels also makes a great gift!

Send your guests home with two Fretzels wrapped with blue ribbon.

I love Elenis cookies!  The Hanukkah assortment makes a great gift or a great dessert plate for your own party!

Modern Menorahs

I was perusing Jonathan Adler and I love his modern take on Menorahs!

I hope you have a Happy Hanukkah!

Seeing Redd - Rooms in Red by Miles Redd

I thought I would follow up on last week's green post with a post on red in the spirit of the holiday season!  I love Miles Redd and Miles Redd loves red!  Or so I gather from his use of this bold color in many of his projects.

I love this velvet tufted sofa!  And the perfectly placed swing arm wall lamp with red shade!

Beautiful custom tablecloth and check out the red leather on the dining chairs!

Deep red walls really help showcase the paintings...who woulda thought?

I love the layering of bright red walls, the bright red sofa and bergere chair in the room above and those window treatments are to die for!

The famous Scalamandre zebra wallpaper.

This is one of my favorite rooms by Miles Redd.  I am obsessed with the red lacquered walls and the brass trim...really...brass trim?!

Another view of the library.  I spy a red Christopher Spitzmiller lamp!  Love, love, love!  Miles Redd uses a Spitzmiller lamp in most of his rooms.

And we'll finish with a red door, more red leather chairs and some fabulous red lampshades.

I would totally take the red lacquered library and the Scalamandre zebra wallpaper in a bathroom or in a hallway but I don't think I am bold enough to do a red living room! Would you use red on your walls?
