Lee Rhodes is the creator and founder of Glassybaby. Lee was raising three small children while fighting a rare form of lung cancer that would become a 7 year battle. She dropped a tea light into a handmade votive and and felt great hope and healing in the color and light. Lee hired glass artists to make more hand blown votives and now has 4 retail stores. The Glassybaby mission has been to donate money from sales to charities dedicated to helping cancer patients.
While we were in New York for Blogfest we got to hear the Glassybaby story from Lee Rhodes herself. She is truly inspiring and was very supportive of all of us Bloggers. She gave us all a Glassybaby to take home with us. A picture of mine is above, glowing as I write this post and I can't wait to start a collection...and maybe a tradition of blogging by the insiring light of my Glassybaby!
