Design Crush - Tessa Proudfoot

I am still in Africa but it has been a long time since I did a decor post...so I thought I would do a post with a lot of decor eye candy!  All of these projects are by Tessa Proudfoot and Associates.  Tessa Proudfoot & Associates is an award-winning, Johannesburg-based interior design company.

Happy Labor Day weekend in the US!  We will be back soon to celebrate Labor Day in style...by taking the day to sleep off our jet lag!

Cape Town - Ellerman House

Cape Town was amazing!  We lucked out and had fantastic weather!  I will post more later...my computer is not downloading pics very fast.  We are in wine country and the service is a little slow...maybe I am too from wine tasting:)

Moving on to Singita Boulders

We are now on our last night at Singita Boulders and it is amazing.

We followed this group of lions this morning.

We were hoping to watch a kill but it got hot and lions are lazy so they decided to nap all day instead.  Can't wait for tonight's drive to see if they will be active...we are hoping to find the male lions too!

  The room, views, animals and all the nice people we have met make it sad to leave.  We are excited to move on to Cape Town though!  And don't worry, when I get back I will do in-depth posts on all the hotels.

Late Travel Tuesday!

I thought that I could get my act together before the trip and schedule posts in advance..but unfortunately, I just didn't have the time.  We have limited Internet access so I am now just getting a chance to do a post!  I am in South Africa at the Royal Malewane.  Here are a few pictures so far.  It is sooooo amazing!  We have met new friends, seen amazing animals and had lots of yummy food and wine!

Baby giraffe!  I love the giraffes!  I get so excited every time we see one.  We have already seen the Big 5 so I have much more to show you!

First course at lunch...shrimp and smoked salmon on potato latkes.

We are off to Singita Boulders tomorrow!

Travel Tuesday - Royal Malewane in Africa

I can't believe it!

I said I was waiting until after my trip to feature hotels but I can't stand it!  This is Royal Malewane in South Africa.

I will do a full post with my own photos when I get back! 

Malibu Pool House

I am absolutely fascinated by this Malibu pool house! It was featured in

C Magazine as the setting of a fabulous bridal shower.

This has to be one of the most beautiful and opulent rooms that I have ever seen.  The detail is spectacular, the seashell chandeliers are to die for! 

There really are no words to describe how amazing this space is!

Yum!  It is hot hot hot and these Poptails look fantastic!  We will be going to a couple poolside BBQs this weekend and this would be the perfect treat!  Hope you stay cool this weekend!

Bathroom Obsession

I am obsessed over this bathroom by Grant Gibson!  I now want the same silver lantern in my bathroom!  I also love the architectural prints on the wall.

And the towels in the basket and the cameos on the wall.

Travel Tuesday - Mystique Resort

I have never been to Greece but it is definitely on my bucket list.  If I ever get a chance to go, I wouldn't mind staying at Mystique in Santorini, Greece.  Situated on Oia's famous cliffs, Mystique is almost too beautiful to be true.

And last but not least, this is my favorite photo.

I love how the white buildings on the cliffs look like snow!  What a beautiful setting for dinner!
