Central Park Home by Michael Smith for Sale

Remember this home from the March 2011 Architectural Digest?  This home designed by Michael Smith can now be yours for $50,000,000.  This spectacular condo is one of only12 residences atop the Ritz Carlton Hotel.  You can find the listing here.

Michael Smith has decorated 6 homes for this couple in the past 17 years!  They spend their time between their homes in Los Angeles, Malibu, London, New York, and Majorca.  I guess they are looking to down size and putting their Manhattan apartment up for sale.

I can't get over all the art and antiques in this home.  It makes me want to see their combined collection in all 6 houses!  Can you imagine?

To die for views of the city skyline and central park.

A Library inspired by Coco Chanel's famous Paris apartment is fitted with 18th century Chinese lacquer panels.

Every inch is filled with art and fabulous furniture.

Love this masculine office.

Here are some pictures from the Architectural Digest magazine....

Go to the Architectural Digest article here to see more details regarding the interior design by Michael Smith.  It is worth a quick look to see all the details that went into decorating this home.

Travel Tuesday - Fearrington Inn

The Fearrington House Inn is a 5 star Bed and Breakfast in North Carolina.  It is also a Relais & Chateaux property that includes an award winning restaurant and a beautiful spa.

This image of the barn is what really caught my eye.  I think a chic barn wedding at Fearrington Inn would be so fabulous.

Georgetown Cupcakes Los Angeles Opening!

I didn't make it to the opening party for Georgetown Cupcakes last night but I did find this lovely photo of the inside on LA Eater. The grand opening is on Saturday November 17th at 12pm and they are giving 1 free cupcake to everyone!  This is the perfect excuse to have brunch or lunch on Robertson, go shopping and then swing by Georgetown Cupcake for a free cupcake(if the line is not outrageous).  Too bad I just decided to cut out sugar the week before Thanksgiving...I must like setting myself up for failure.

Speaking of sugar, I think a dozen of their Christmas flavored cupcakes would make the perfect holiday gift or the perfect night in with my beau having a cupcake tasting!

P.S. Overnight shipping is available in the US!

Turkey Day Table

I will be out of town for Thanksgiving this year so I have not been searching for decor but a friend asked me for some easy ideas so....here are some pictures from my Thanksgiving table last year for inspiration.  I really just did sweet and simple and it turned out quite nice...if I do say so myself.

Table Runner and Napkins are from pottery barn...go here.

Place card holders are from Williams Sonoma...go here and I found the wheat bundles online here.

The lighting is off in these pictures but I used inexpensive plastic silver chargers.  I don't remember where I ordered them from but similar ones are here.  Candlesticks are from pottery barn and the AMAZING floral arrangement is from Moe's Flowers.

For very quick and easy, just scatter real mini pumpkins and leaves or acorns like above.  Place a mini pumpkin on the napkin on top of the plate and you are done!  I also love the mercury pumpkins below.

Use these antique mercury pumpkins here and one of these champagne mercury tall pumpkins here.

Travel Tuesday - Girl & The Goat Chicago

So dinner at Girl and the Goat was fantastic!!!  I had to share some pictures from our wonderful night!  We were seated in a dining room downstairs and it was a great space....we dined surrounded by wine bottles...not too shabby.   Every bite of food I put in my mouth was delicious!  I highly recommend eating at Girl and the Goat if you are in Chicago!

Fried Oyster

Wagyu Tartare

Pig Face!

I was not so sure about eating pig face but had to try as it is a specialty here!  It was OMG good!
Here is the description - wood oven roasted pig face - sunny side egg, tamarind, cilantro, red-wine maple and potato stix.

I ate way too much of this dessert...some sort of brownie and ice cream concoction - I forget the details.

Also delicious was the kohlrabi salad, the grilled baby octopus, the pan roasted whitefish, the crisp braised pork shank and the pan fried shishito peppers.  You really can't go wrong.  Go with a big group so you can try absolutely everything like we did!

All images are via my talented friend Myra at MG Reflections.  Go check them out!

Design Crush - Markham Roberts

Markham Roberts Inc is a design firm in New York.  Markham Roberts work is timeless and classic yet still looks young an fresh.  I am seriously crushing!!!!

I really want to sit on this tufted sofa with leopard pillows.

I love how traditional this room is but then he used funky dining room chairs.

I love this image!  Beautiful bedside table vignette and I love the fabric on the headboard and bed skirt.

Love!

I am sure you have seen this image before.  I still love the striped wallpaper.

Gorgeous!

I need help!

Someone went a little crazy at Michael's with the Christmas ribbon!

I am trying to decide which ones I like the best and then I am going back fro another round!  I love the red and white striped one!  The green and white pattern and the brown burlap ribbon are in a tie for the front door wreath.
